Anything from Two steps from Hell is top of my inspirational music list. I can’t write with music playing as I find it distracting, so I listen every time I take a break. A little burst of inspiration every now and then. Hope you enjoy it.
I’d be interested to know where you find your writer’s block cure.
If you’re into cosplay, there are some extremely talented people out there making the most amazing costumes. Some of them spend hours every day for weeks making the various bits they need for their costumes, and although not a cosplayer myself, I love the look of it and enjoy seeing the photos that are all over the internet.
If you’ve always fancied doing cosplay but don’t have a lot of money to buy fancy costumes, you can make your own easily and cheaply. With some second hand clothes, basic tools and a little creativity, you can hold your own amongst the cosplay crowd and have fun with others like yourself.
I found his video that shows you how to make yourself a Star Trek shirt with almost no sewing.
I find these list videos compelling viewing. They offer facts without the fluff. I can learn without having to sit through hours of meaningless guff. I’ve always been one of those ‘just get to the point and gimme the fact’ type of people, and these videos suit me perfectly.
Since finding Stupeflix, I’ve decided to update all my old promo videos. Today is the turn of my debut novel, The Lilean Chronicles: Book One ~ Redemption.
I’ve made a little promotional video for my latest novel, Acts of Life. I found this great online place called Stupeflix and the whole process is so easy and quick, much less farting about than Windows Movie Maker. You can choose from their large music collection and the site automatically makes the music fade at the end of your video. Plans start from as little as $5 per month and I think it’s worth it if you like doing videos to promo your books. I’ve been wanting to update the videos I did for The Lilean Chronicles but the thought of faffing around with Windows Movie Maker again has put me off. Now I shall be doing them within days at Stupeflix. Here’s the video, I hope you enjoy it.
